1. Introduction

Welcome to the World Decoy Association ("WDA", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Definitions

  • "Services" refers to all services provided by the WDA, including but not limited to certification programmes, training courses, capacity assessments, and access to the member portal.
  • "User" refers to any individual who accesses or uses our website or services.
  • "Member" refers to a registered user who holds an active account with the WDA.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of our services, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Training Courses & Certification

  • All training courses and assessments are subject to availability and may be modified or cancelled at our discretion.
  • Certification is awarded upon successful completion of the relevant programme and assessment criteria as determined by the WDA.
  • The WDA reserves the right to revoke or suspend any certification if a member is found to have breached these terms, professional conduct standards, or safety guidelines.
  • Certifications are non-transferable and remain the intellectual property of the WDA.

5. Payments & Refunds

  • All fees for courses, assessments, and services are payable in advance at the time of booking.
  • Due to the limited availability of places and the cost of resources involved, we do not offer refunds on any courses or assessments. Please ensure you are able to attend before booking.
  • The WDA reserves the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect bookings already confirmed and paid for.

6. Code of Conduct

All members and course participants are expected to:

  • Act professionally and respectfully towards all individuals, animals, and property.
  • Prioritise the safety and welfare of all canines involved in training and assessment activities.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by WDA trainers and assessors.
  • Not engage in any behaviour that could bring the WDA or the decoy profession into disrepute.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, course materials, and software, is the property of the World Decoy Association and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

Decoy work involves inherent risks. The WDA provides training and certification to promote safety and professionalism, but cannot guarantee the elimination of all risks. By participating in any WDA course, assessment, or activity, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the WDA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal data. Information about how we collect, use, and protect your data can be found in our Cookie Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to the WDA, its members, or any animals involved in training activities.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
